ACG partnered with Studio DB to create a library environment that supports learning, curiosity, and connection. The library is designed to seamlessly extend the classroom, with a dedicated teaching space enclosed by clear glazing and sliding doors to allow visibility and flow. Balancing quiet study with collaborative zones, the design uses a natural material palette and thoughtful spatial planning to foster focus, creativity, and wellbeing. The result is a future-ready learning hub that reflects ACG's commitment to Excellent Academics, Wholehearted engagement, and a No-Limits mindset.
ACG collaborated with Studio DB to deliver a library environment that elevates the traditional school library into a dynamic hub for independent study, group learning, and research, all within a calm, engaging setting defined by intuitive layouts and soft materiality.
A dedicated classroom sits at the heart of the library, enclosed with clear glazing to maintain visual connection while providing acoustic separation. Sliding doors allow the space to open or close as needed, creating flexibility between structured teaching and informal learning, and reinforcing the library as a true extension of the classroom.
Studio DB worked closely with stakeholders to shape a design that prioritises functionality, flow, and adaptability. Clearly defined zones for silent study, collaboration, informal reading, and classroom-style learning are supported by integrated shelving, flexible furniture, and technology-enabled areas. Considered lighting and acoustic treatments enhance comfort and concentration, while a refined natural palette brings warmth and cohesion throughout.
