BDO is a tier 1 accounting firm that offers world-leading tax, audit, advisory, and accounting services to clients all over NZ. Their core values revolve around relationships, resources, and responsiveness. Studio DB worked with BDO Takapuna to create an office space that reflects their focus on adopting a partnership-style approach and working through their client challenges in an innovative way.
The Takapuna office was originally spread across two floors resulting in significant space wastage, especially under new hybrid work patterns. The partners wanted to take the opportunity of a lease renewal to align their workspace with the new way of working that BDO was promoting across it’s staff.
One of the key requirements was to ensure sufficient and appropriate space allocation whilst consolidating the footprint onto a single floor. The design was focused on providing every staff with a suitable solution for both focus and collaboration work, with particular attention to creating an environment that enabled enhanced learning and personal development. The use of noble material and maximisation of the abundant natural light and beautiful views make for the BDO Takapuna office to be a place that promotes well-being and productivity.
