Quantity Surveying & Project Management

Studio DB offers expert quantity surveying and project management services, ensuring accurate cost estimation, planning, and timely project delivery.

Our quantity surveying and project management discipline gives you confidence that every dollar is accounted for, every risk is managed, and the project is steered to its intended outcome. This is the commercial rigour that underpins everything we deliver.

Project Management Excellence

A single point of responsibility

We coordinate designers, consultants, contractors and stakeholders under one accountable lead — simplifying governance and holding every party to the programme, budget and scope. Where you are working with an external design partner, we hold them to account on your behalf.

Risk and programme certainty

Risk is managed from project inception through live risk registers covering commercial, programme, delivery and operational risk. Combined with disciplined progress controls, this keeps issues from escalating and keeps your project on track to complete on time.

Confidence in every number

Value engineering

We direct investment to where it delivers measurable value — challenging cost without compromising quality, so your budget works harder and the outcome is protected.

Budget alignment

Cost is tracked and aligned from concept through to completion, with progressive budgeting that keeps the design and the budget moving together. There are no late surprises, because the numbers are visible the whole way through.

Cost management

Detailed cost plans, supported by internal and external QS validation, give you confidence that pricing is accurate and market-competitive — and the transparency to see exactly where your investment is going.

Common Questions

Why does quantity surveying matter on a workplace project?

Quantity Surveying is what turns a budget into certainty. Rigorous cost planning and validation mean you can commit to a project knowing the numbers are accurate, defensible and unlikely to move — which is exactly the assurance leadership and finance need.

What does having in-house QS capability give us?

Cost intelligence at every stage, not just at the end. As the design develops, our QS team keeps the budget aligned in real time and validates pricing independently, so cost confidence is continuous rather than a final reckoning.

Can you project-manage a build where another firm did the design?

Yes. We regularly collaborate with external design partners and act as the single point of responsibility on projects — coordinating all parties and holding the design partner to account on programme, budget and scope.

How does this protect our return on investment?

By ensuring investment is directed to what delivers value, cost is controlled throughout, and risk is managed before it becomes expensive. The result is a workplace that delivers on its commercial case, not just its design intent.
